LOOK: Ryan Day visits Ohio State 4-star IOL commit Josh Padilla

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day paid a visit to Dayton (Ohio) Wayne four-star interior offensive lineman Josh Padilla on Friday. Padilla has been committed to the Buckeyes since Nov. 4, 2021.

He is the No. 238 overall prospect and No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Padilla is also the No. 6 player in Ohio.

A 6-foot-4, 285-pound prospect, Padilla is one of three interior offensive linemen commits in Ohio State’s 2023 recruiting class. The Buckeyes’ group is currently No. 4 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Big Ten.

Padilla has an On3 NIL Valuation of $18.2K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
