Marvin Harrison Jr. reveals his outfit for Heisman Trophy ceremony
Friday night was a big night for college football, with awards being handed out. Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. won the Biletnikoff Award, beating out LSU‘s Malik Nabers for the honor after both had incredible seasons. There is one more award Harrison is up four though — the Heisman Trophy.
Harrison will remain in New York City to find out if he is the winner of what is considered the most prestigious individual award in all of college football. He will be joined by a trio of quarterbacks, with Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, and Michael Penix making the trip as well.
All four are expected to be dressed quite well, with Harrison’s outfit being revealed just a few hours before the ceremony. The Ohio State wide receiver will be in an all-black suit with a red bowtie. Troy Smith, a Heisman Trophy winner in his own right, posted a picture of himself with Harrison on social media.
Harrison has the opportunity to break through and win the Heisman as a wide receiver while beating out a few quarterbacks along the way. Alabama‘s DeVonta Smith was able to during the 2020 season. However, outside of Smith, the award has been dominated by quarterbacks in recent times.
From an Ohio State perspective, Harrison would join another mini fraternity within the Heisman House. He would be the program’s sixth Heisman winner but eighth overall trophy. Of course, Archie Griffin won the award in back-to-back seasons, something nobody else has been able to do.

Smith was the latest and had his moment back in 2006. Ohio State has not had anybody else hoist the trophy since. Both Harrison and Smith will be hoping some kind of history is made on Saturday and the Buckeyes are once again in possession of the Heisman Trophy.
Marvin Harrison Jr. caught 67 passes this season, going for 1,211 yards and four touchdowns. For the time being, all we know is that he finished in the top four. The Heisman released who finished fifth all the way down to No. 10. The top four will comprise of the four players in New York City.
Heading into the night, Daniels is considered the favorite after his great season with LSU. Harrison’s name being announced would certainly be a surprise. Anything can happen though, with voters from across the country all having different opinions on who should wind up winning.
