On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Ohio State heavily favored for WR Mylan Graham
Ohio State has arguably the best track record of recruiting and producing elite wide receivers of any program in the country.
Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline has established himself as the nation’s best assistant coach at that position and continues to draw the attention of top pass-catchers. The 2024 class is no different, with the Buckeyes already landing Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Five-Star Plus+ wideout Jeremiah Smith in December.
Hartline isn’t done, though. New Haven (Ind.) five-star receiver Mylan Graham is his next target at the position, and the Buckeyes are trending heavily to land him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
After a pair of recent expert picks in favor of Ohio State from Lettermen Row insiders Matt Parker and Spencer Holbrook, the Buckeyes hold a 97.0 percent chance of landing Graham’s commitment.
In addition to the Buckeyes, Michigan, Notre Dame, Purdue and a number of others are in pursuit. However, Hartline has made him feel like a top priority, dating all the way back to when he visited Ohio State this fall.

“I can feel that Coach Hartline really wants me to be one of his guys in the ’24 class,” Graham said in September. “I’ve built a relationship with Coach Day, other recruiting people and player personnel people.”
Mylan Graham Scouting Summary
The 6-foot, 170-pound Graham is the No. 12 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 4 wide receiver and the No. 1 recruit in Indiana.
Charles Power, On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings, writes this about him as prospect:
“The definition of a technician at the wide receiver position. Has the ability to separate from defenders in a phone booth off the snap. Capable of winning off the line of scrimmage without being touched. Explosive and twitchy when coming off the line and out of his breaks. Loose hips who can sink at the top of his routes with ease. Rarely touched when has the ball in his hands in open space, extremely tough to bring down in the open field.
… Comfortable catching the football away from his frame, natural ball tracker downfield. Has the ability to high point and win 50-50 balls. Terrific in the return game as well. Leaner athletic build for the wide receiver position, will struggle to sniff 200 pounds at the next level. Has quality speed on film but need to confirm top-end speed in order to determine true ceiling. Has all the positional traits to become a special receiver. One of the most technically sound prospects at the position to come out in the last few recruiting cycles. Projects as a Z-type or X-receiver at the next level and beyond.”
