Ohio State announce return of Aaron Bradshaw to program
Ohio State has made it official as far as the status of Aaron Bradshaw within the program.
On Monday, Jake Diebler announced on his radio show that Bradshaw had rejoined the Buckeyes’ team.
“Yeah, so, Aaron is back with our team after the university concluded its process,” said Diebler. “He will be back with our team. And, you know, as far as, you know, anything regarding the process, we can’t comment further on the university’s process but that’s the latest update.”
This comes after Bradshaw hadn’t been a part of team activities over the past two weeks. At that point, Ohio State didn’t share much at the time of this news as they cited federal privacy laws as part of their process in handling the matter. It was then reported the following week that it was due to an investigation into a possible domestic incident that happened at his apartment off of campus.
After transferring in from Kentucky, Bradshaw had played in the first four games for the Buckeyes. In those appearances, all of which were starts, he averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks while shooting just 37.9% from the field. Most of that production came in an outing of 16 points (62.5% FG), eight rebounds, and two blocks in the second game of the season during a win against Youngstown State.

Bradshaw has since missed the last five games due to this matter.
Bradshaw spent one season with the Wildcats as a freshman where, in 26 games, he averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds on 57.6% shooting overall. That was after coming to Lexington as one of the latest highly-rated recruits under John Calipari as a Five-Star+ prospect in 2023 per On3’s Industry Ranking. He rated as the No. 4 overall prospect in the class as well as the No. 1 center and the No. 1 player out of the state of New Jersey as he attended Camden.
There’s no set time yet as to when Bradshaw could now return to the lineup for Ohio State. It could or should be sometime this month, though, during their four remaining games before the turn of the year, including two against two top-ranked teams out the SEC with Auburn in the Holiday Hoopsgiving on Saturday as well as against his previous school in UK during the CBS Sports Classic on the 21st.
“There’s going to be a return to play aspect that, you know, we’re going to have to start evaluating right away,” Diebler said. “There’s no firm timeline, right, for what that looks like.”
