Coaches are back out on the recruiting trail in mid-January, and the staff at Ohio State is no exception. Four of the Buckeyes’ offensive coaches hit the road to visit Lewisville (Texas) 2025 five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi.

Wide receivers coach Brian Hartline, offensive line coach Justin Frye, quarterbacks coach Corey Dennis and tight ends coach Keenan Bailey all made the trip south to visit the premier pass blocker.

Fasusi is the nation’s No. 15 overall prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 4 recruit in Texas.

The 6-foot-4.5, 300-pounder has taken visits to Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Florida, Missouri and Baylor, per the On3 Visit Center. Currently, the Sooners have a very slight lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 26.5% chance of landing Fasusi early on in the 2025 cycle.

Houston North Shore five-star defensive back Devin Sanchez committed to Ohio State during the All-American Bowl on NBC. Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair is the No. 2 and No. 10 overall prospect in the 2025 On300. Philadelphia Imhotep Institute elite EDGE Zahir Mathis is the latest to commit to Ohio State, doing so on January 10.

Sanchez has already been quite active on social media in his attempts to bring other top players to Columbus — already proving to be a key contributor in this 2025 class.

“I’ve had the opportunity to get big-time Power 5 offers, and it’s fun to go through the process of talking to so many schools, so many coaches, and see how it goes,” Sanchez told On3 when he committed. “I’m looking forward to getting more guys in my class, be the face of this class going to Ohio State. I’m taking a big step, a big responsibility, and I want to have fun, win that spot and continue my legacy, go three years and do what every kid dreams of — going in the first round.”
