Ohio State CB commit Devin Sanchez posts blowout win over Michigan in EA Sports College Football 25
Since the release of EA Sports College Football 25 this week, players around the world have shown no mercy when it comes to rivalry games. Add Ohio State Five-Star Plus+ cornerback commit Devin Sanchez to the list.
The Houston North Shore product still has another year to go before he gets to take the field against Michigan, but he made his feelings about the Wolverines clear by posting a modest 104-0 blowout victory in favor of the Buckeyes on Wednesday.
“It was only right,” Sanchez said on X.
Committed to Ohio State since Jan. 6, Sanchez headlines Ryan Day’s 2025 class that currently ranks No. 2 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Sanchez is the No. 4 overall prospect and top-ranked corner in the nation, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
At the On3 Elite Series in May, Sanchez reaffirmed his pledge to OSU, citing his relationships with the staff in Columbus. His bonds with the likes Day and corners coach Tim Walton have only gotten stronger since he pledged.
“It’s really not so much the school, it’s relationship I have with Coach Walton. We have a strong relationship, six times I’ve been up there,” Sanchez said. “It’s not just Coach Walton. I have a relationship with other coaching staff, Coach (Brian) Hartline, Coach Day, Coach (Gerren) Duhart, I got a relationship with a lot of guys.”

Earlier this month, Sanchez was named a “Future Freak” by On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power, tabbing him as one of the 25 most athletic prospects in the 2025 cycle. “Devin Sanchez is how you draw them up as a big, outside corner. The Five-Star Plus+ prospect has a big frame and outstanding top-end speed,” Power wrote.
More on Ohio State in EA CFB 25
Sanchez isn’t the only one that’s shown Michigan no mercy on CFB 25 so far. Current OSU wide receiver Brandon Inniss wasted no time upon the early access release of the game on Monday, posting a 91-16 win in The Game. Inniss looked for himself downfield plenty, as he racked up 528 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
To no surprise, Ohio State checks in with a 93 team overall, tied for the second-highest rating in CFB 25 with Oregon. Only Georgia (95 overall) sits above the Buckeyes at launch.
Of the top 100 players on the launch roster for all 134 FBS teams, eight are on Ohio State. Safety Caleb Downs and running back Quinshon Judkins are both top-10 players overall. A full breakdown of Ohio State’s ratings on CFB 25 can be found here.
