Ohio State is already on an early roll in the 2025 cycle, holding the nation’s No. 2 class in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Ryan Day and Co. are fresh off a commitment from elite edge rusher Zahir Mathis on Wednesday, and they’re trending for even more. The Buckeyes class already features one five-star (cornerback Devin Sanchez), an elite quarterback (top-20 prospect Tavien St. Clair) and three other blue-chippers.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), four more top-of-the-board targets for the Buckeyes are also leaning their way.

4-star CB Dorian Brew

School: Conroe (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 21
On3 RPM: Ohio State 98.3%

Dorian Brew is the next on Ohio State’s target list who is currently scheduled to commit, announcing on Wednesday that he is set to announce on January 24. Michigan, Oregon, Texas and Penn State are among the other finalists, but multiple picks have gone in favor of the Buckeyes in recent days. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder projects as a likely five-star by the end of the cycle.

4-star RB Byron Louis

School: Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 197
On3 RPM: Ohio State 90.7%, Miami 4.4%, Georgia 1.7%

The Buckeyes have made their bones in the Sunshine State, particularly at running back. And South Florida star Byron Louis is their next target. Ohio State offered Louis in May 2022, but truly have been recruiting him longer than that. Their connection initially started when OSU was recruiting Louis’ former teammate Mark Fletcher.

“As soon as Ohio State got [Fletcher] committed, they were working on me right away,” Louis previously told Lettermen Row. “Every time I visit all the coaches know me, I walk around the facility as if I already go there, I know my way around there. … It’s just a home away from home feeling.”

4-star EDGE Justin Hill

School: Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 165
On3 RPM: Ohio State 92.9%, Kentucky 1.3%

Few high school programs have been kinder to Ohio State than Winton Woods, including this past cycle. Justin Hill is the Buckeyes’ next major target there. Kentucky and Oregon are expected to host Hill in the next few months, and he currently has a summer commitment scheduled. But as it is with nearly all Ohio high school prospects, the road to landing them goes through the Buckeyes.

4-star TE Nate Roberts

School: Washington (Okla.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 116
On3 RPM: Ohio State 67.1%, Oklahoma 26.9%

Ohio State recruiting insider Alex Gleitman logged an expert prediction for Ryan Day and Co. to land four-star tight end Nate Roberts earlier this week, and the Buckeyes are now trending ahead of Oklahoma in On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

“Ohio State received a game visit from Roberts in September for their dominant win over Western Kentucky. After that visit, the Buckeyes jumped to the forefront of this recruitment and have not looked back,” Gleitman wrote in making his prediction.

The Sooners won’t go lightly for an in-state prospect, but the Buckeyes are in a strong position here.
