ESPN has released their game-by-game predictions for every game of the 2022 season. With Ohio State prepping to make another conference championship appearance and possibly push for a college football playoff berth, let’s look at how ESPN’s Football Power Index feels the Buckeyes stack up against every opponent they’re facing this upcoming season.

ESPN’s Football Power Index clearly believes that Ohio State will have a dominant season, with half of their games slated at 95% odds or higher of them winning. A large part of this has to do with the talent the Buckeyes are bringing back, but another factor could be their interesting schedule. The Buckeyes only play four away games this upcoming season, and start the season off with six straight home games. If Ohio State can just defend their home turf, and win their very few matchups on the road that they’re already highly favored in, expect to see them in the playoff conversation come December.
