Ohio State offers 2024 5-star DL David Stone
Oklahoma City (Okla.) IMG Academy five-star defensive lineman David Stone received an offer from Ohio State on Wednesday. He is the latest blue-chip defensive recruit to be offered by the Buckeyes today, along with Lee’s Summit (Mo.) Lee’s Summit North five-star defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri and Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic four-star EDGE Elijah Rushing.
Stone is the No. 9 overall prospect and No. 1 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Florida.
The Buckeyes have three commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. They are Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, New Palestine (Ind.) four-star interior offensive lineman Ian Moore and Sunbury (Ohio) Big Walnut four-star linebacker Garrett Stover.

“I feel like out of those 10 schools, those are probably the most realistic options for me to go to,” Stone told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I feel like I can take them seriously in this process and they take me pretty seriously as well.”
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound recruit has an On3 NIL Valuation of $144K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
