Ohio State OL Enokk Vimahi enters NCAA transfer portal
Ohio State offensive lineman Enokk Vimahi entered the NCAA transfer portal. He’s been with the program since 2019.
As a fifth year senior, Vimahi has two years of eligibility left. He’s played in 27 games throughout his career, earning two Varsity O Letters.
Vimahi played in all 13 games back in 2022 and earned his first career start against Michigan.
As a member of the Class of 2019, Vimahi was a four-star recruit out of Kakuhu (Hawaii) High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 2 overall prospect in the state, the No. 8 interior offensive lineman in the class and the No. 120 overall prospect in the class.

Enokk Vimahi enters portal, Ryan Day faces pivotal Ohio State campaign
Vimahi won’t be around for a pivotal year for head coach Ryan Day. With three straight losses to Michigan and a lack of a national title, there’s definitely pressure in 2024.
Spencer Holbrook of Lettermen Row joined Andy Staples On3 on YouTube on Monday, where he elaborated on the belief that the 2024 version of Day is one who’s adjusted his mentality, with the goal of a national title in mind.

“Well, and that’s the thing I find interesting. He did it at the 50 yard line, in front of the whole crowd. He said, ‘The goal is to win a national championship, and beat the team up North.’ Interesting. I don’t know that he was looking at the order necessarily. Well, this year, you don’t have to do the first if you want to do the other. You may have to do it eventually, if you want to do the other, but you don’t have to do it. Maybe the first opportunity.
“But that is as direct as you’re gonna get from a college football coach,” Staples prefaced the conversation. “Like normally, coaches won’t even mention a national championship. They won’t talk about it, but he just came out said it.”
