This past weekend was a massive one for Ohio State’s recruiting efforts in the 2025 class, with nearly a dozen official visitors making their way to Columbus. That include Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore, as well as key prospects on both sides of the ball at skill positions and in the trenches.

Coming out of it all, the Buckeyes have received a slew of expert predictions in their favor for some of the top targets on their board. Here’s where things stand with each:

4-star ATH/RB Bo Jackson

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 73
Recruiting Prediction Machine: Ohio State 88.9%, Georgia 3.0%, Penn State 2.0%

Latest buzz: “Running back is a massive need for the Buckeyes this cycle as they could lose both mega-talents at the top of the depth chart in TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. Ryan Day, Carlos Locklyn and the staff aim to sign three. Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela – St. Joseph High’s On300 prospect Bo Jackson is one of them, and this is shaping up nicely for Ohio State with the On3 Industry’s No. 4 ranked athlete.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 VP of Recruiting

4-star EDGE Justin Hill

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 48
Recruiting Prediction Machine: Ohio State 93.1%, Alabama 2.0%

Latest buzz: “Entering this weekend, Justin Hill looked to be leaning toward leaving his home state of Ohio to play college football. Alabama, Oregon and USC are all on his list, but the visit to Ohio State this weekend may have flipped that. Ryan Day and the staff answered all of Hill’s questions, and they answered them to his liking. Coming out of this weekend’s visit to Columbus, Ohio State looks to be the team others are now chasing. Alabama has had the buzz much of the spring, so his official visit to Tuscaloosa on June 14 is one to circle. Oregon is in this more than USC at this time, but a battle between the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes could be taking shape.” — Chad Simmons, On3 Director of Recruiting

4-star IOL Jayvon McFadden

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 374
Recruiting Prediction Machine: Ohio State 91.8%, Penn State 2.7%

Latest buzz: The Buckeyes are battling Penn State, Virginia Tech and others for Jayvon McFadden, a four-star prospect sitting just outside the On300 rankings heading into the summer. McFadden was one of the nearly dozen official visitors in Columbus over the weekend. And on Monday, Wiltfong added an expert pick in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) in OSU’s favor to land him.
