Ohio State forward Aaron Bradshaw is not currently participating in team activities. Bradshaw transferred to Ohio State this offseason after spending his freshman campaign at Kentucky. The program released a statement earlier today on the situation.

“Aaron Bradshaw is not currently participating in team activities,” the statement read. “The university is following its established process. Due to federal privacy laws, we cannot share further information at this time.”

Bradshaw has played and started in all four of the Buckeyes’ games this season, averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 23.8 minutes per game. He is shooting 37.9% from the field.

In 26 appearances for the Wildcats last season, Bradshaw averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 57.6% from the field and 28.6% from beyond the arc. Bradshaw’s best game of the season came in Kentucky’s win over Penn when he tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Bradshaw missed the beginning of the 2023-24 season due to a foot fracture he suffered in the summer. Nonetheless, once healthy, Bradshaw showed flashes of promise.

Bradshaw played high school basketball at Camden (NJ), where he was a five-star recruit, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Bradshaw was the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 1 center in the 2023 recruiting cycle.

In July, ESPN named Aaron Bradshaw one of six players in college basketball with breakout potential. On Friday, Ohio State initially claimed Bradshaw was simply unavailable for the team’s showdown against Campbell.

However, only hours later, the program revealed Bradshaw was no longer participating in team activities. Bradshaw won’t be the only player Ohio State is missing on Friday. Sean Stewart is also unavailable against Campbell.

While the team hasn’t specified why Steward is out against Campbell, Stewart suffered a head injury in Ohio State’s last outing and is assumed to be recovering. Stewart transferred to Ohio State from Duke this offseason.

He also has started all four games for OSU this season. The 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 3.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 38.5% from the floor. With Stewart’s help, the Buckeyes are 3-1 this season, with their sole loss coming against Texas A&M.

Ohio State will look to put any internal issues aside on Friday as it squares off against Campbell at 6 p.m. ET. The game will air live on the Big Ten Network.
