The Ohio State Buckeyes are preparing to tangle with the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio under the lights of Ohio Stadium — one of the biggest stadiums in all of college football. The game marks the Big Ten opener for the Buckeyes. Since the game is officially a blackout, Ohio State decided to go with some special uniforms for Saturday night’s contest.

Check out the sweet all black unis they’ll be rocking, with black helmets, pants, socks, and shoes.

Since the game will be a blackout, it makes perfect sense for Ohio State to break out all black uniforms for the special occasion. The team revealed their helmets earlier in the week in a pretty cool video they released to Twitter.

Different uniforms are part of what make college football so very great and I’m willing to bet Buckeye fans will really enjoy the black unis under the lights in the Horseshoe.

The Buckeyes steamrolled the Toledo Rockets

The Toledo game was the first game back from injury for Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming. It didn’t take long for the former five-star prospect to make a splash. Check out this beautiful catch he made along the right side of the end zone against Toledo, showing off tremendous body control.

The touchdown catch plus the extra-point gave the Buckeyes 28 points in the first quarter and they were up on Toledo, 28-7. Ohio State absolutely steamrolled the Toledo Rockets to the tune of a 77-21 beatdown. The game was never remotely close, even though Toledo’s dual-threat quarterback Dequan Finn made several highlight worthy plays to put the Rockets on the scoreboard.

Like many of the other Ohio State wide receivers, Julian Fleming was one of the most highly touted receivers in the country coming out of high school. He was rated as the No. 1 wide receiver in America, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2020 cycle.

Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud discussed Fleming

Ohio State signal-caller C.J. Stroud recently discussed what makes Fleming such a special talent.

“I definitely think Julian is very versatile, he’s very dynamic,” said Stroud. “Of course, everybody knows he can go and get the deep ball and things like that, but he’s been working on his game a lot this summer. Just snapping his routes down, making them clean, making them crisp. Like curls, digs, outs, different things like that. He’s definitely stepped his game up with those.

“And then of course he brings that physical element. Just him being so big and being able to block people, I definitely think we’ll use him in all those aspects. When he comes back, he’ll definitely be used a lot, so definitely excited and I think he’s super excited as well to come back and contribute to wins.”

Ohio State and Wisconsin are set to kick off on Saturday night at 7:30 PM EST. The game will be nationally televised on ABC.
