LOOK: Ohio State unveils uniforms for College Football Playoff matchup vs. Georgia
The Ohio State Buckeyes were lucky enough to backdoor their way into their upcoming College Football Playoff matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs. The two teams will be squaring off in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl slated to be played on December 31st at 8:00 PM EST. The game will be played in the Atlanta Falcons sparkling new facility (Mercedes-Benz Stadium). On Thursday afternoon, the Buckeyes revealed their uniforms for their upcoming showdown with Georgia, and they are pretty sharp.
Check them out below.
Ohio State will face a very steep challenge in the game, because they’ll be without two of their biggest superstars. Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has opted out of the bowl game because he’s been battling injuries for much of the 2022 season. He’s preparing to be a top selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. Then, Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson will not play in the bowl game, either. He had been playing with a fracture and a torn ligament in his foot. The sophomore tailback has foot surgery scheduled for Friday.

Inside the NIL-fueled recruitment for 5-star LSU QB commit
Georgia is currently favored by 6.5 points. It’ll be interesting to see how the Buckeyes handle the battle in the trenches. They were bludgeoned in the trenches by the Michigan Wolverines and the difficulty in that area is going to only increase against Georgia. If the Buckeyes wish to change the national perception of their program, this game and the national championship game provide opportunities to completely re-write the script.
Ohio State’s pipeline of wide receivers never seems to end
Even without Jaxon Smith-Njigba playing, the Buckeyes still feature the nation’s most dynamic set of wide receivers in Marvin Harrison, Jr. and Emeka Egbuka. Many were disappointed that Harrison didn’t win the Biletnikoff Award–given to the nation’s top wide receiver. He’s been the most complete route-runner in all of college football this year and quite frankly, he’s blessed with even more size than his Hall-of-Fame father (Marvin Harrison, Sr.) had. There’s still plenty of incredible players suiting up in this one to make this game exciting. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
