LOOK: Paris Johnson Jr pays homage to Dwayne Haskins with t-shirt
The Ohio State football team program had to deal with the tragic death one of their very own a few months ago, former Buckeye signal-caller Dwayne Haskins. On Sunday night, Buckeyes’ offensive lineman Paris Johnson, Jr. decided to pay tribute to the former Ohio State great by wearing a t-shirt with him on it.

It’s a really nice-looking shirt worn by Johnson and a really cool graphic design by whoever made it.
Coming out of high school, Johnson was rated as the No. 2 offensive tackle in America and a five-star prospect, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2020 cycle. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder was rated as the No. 10 overall prospect in the country.
Last season, Johnson started all 13 games at right guard for Ohio State, earning second team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s coaches and third team honors from the media. He’s expected to move over to tackle for the 2022-2023 season. Thus far, the gifted offensive lineman has played in 18 games for the Buckeyes, starting 13 of those.
Johnson has racked up the preseason accolades this fall, earning third team All-American honors for the 2022 season from Pro Football Focus.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and former Ohio State star Dwayne Haskins was killed after getting hit by a car in South Florida, his agent told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Haskins, 24, was getting ready for his second season with the Steelers after starting his career with the Washington Commanders. He didn’t play for Pittsburgh last season, but the Steelers decided to bring him back to challenge Mitchell Trubisky for the starting job.
In two years with Washington before getting to Pittsburgh, Haskins threw for 2,804 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Commanders drafted him as the No. 15 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after a standout career at Ohio State. With the Buckeyes, he was First Team All-Big Ten and the Big Ten Championship MVP in 2018 before also winning Rose Bowl MVP.
As a high school prospect, Dwayne Haskins was highly decorated coming out of high school and was one of the nation’s elite quarterback prospects. He was rated as the nation’s No. 7 quarterback prospect in the 2016 recruiting class, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings. As a junior, Haskins was named the Maryland Gatorade Player of the Year. He was also named to the Under Armour All-American Game. Throughout his decorated career for Bullis School, he threw for 5,308 passing yards and 54 passing touchdowns.
The Ohio State Buckeyes face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday, Sept. 3 in one of the most anticipated games of the year. Kickoff for that one is slated for 7:30 PM EST.
