Kamryn Babb is a fifth-year senior in the Ohio State wide receiver room. Injuries, including two torn ACLs, have derailed his promising career. He’s now hoping to breakout in 2022. Unfortunately, due to injuries, that breakout has been put on hold, as Ryan Day explained to the media.

“He had a setback,” Ryan Day said. “But not a setback that’s gonna cost him the whole year. So, he’s out for a little while and we’re hoping to get him back here in a couple weeks.”

Luckily, according to Ryan Day, this injury shouldn’t end Babb’s season. Due to his injury history, the team needs to be cautious with him and can’t rush his return.

As a follow-up question, Ryan Day was asked to give a timeline on Kamryn Babb’s return. Day reiterated that it would be sometime this season but wasn’t able to be more specific than that.

“Hoping in a couple weeks that he gets back out on the field. But, his situation is very unique because of his background and his history. So, we’re just gonna trust the doctors on it and kind of see where that goes. But, hoping to get him back on the field.”

Ryan Day made a point of emphasizing that the team was being extra cautious due to his injury history.

Kamryn Babb is one of the most respected players on Ohio State’s roster. Recently, he was given the block-0 jersey and named a captain for the second year in a row. As a recruit, Babb had been a consensus four-star and a top-100 recruit.

Ryan Day and everyone else within the program hope that Babb can make his way onto the field and start playing to his incredible potential without injury in 2022.
