Catawba Ridge (S.C.) sophomore quarterback Jadyn Davis is one the biggest early targets in the 2024 recruiting class, and this weekend, he’ll visit Ohio State.

His trip to see the Buckeyes face Penn State has been a consideration for quite some time, but he tweeted Thursday afternoon that he’ll be in Columbus on Saturday.

The 6-foot, 180-pound signal-caller is considered a can’t-miss prospect in the 2024 class, and he’s already picked up nearly a dozen offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Auburn and Penn State.

Davis has been a notable national recruit going all the way back to eighth grade, when he first received offers from Alabama and Georgia. Now that he’s actually playing high school football, though, he has a much better grasp of the recruiting process, he told On3’s Jeremy Johnson recently.

“It was cool, at that age, I probably didn’t even know what it all meant,” Jadyn Davis said. “Now, I’m not 13 anymore, I can kind of weed out all the stuff schools are telling me. I have a better head and understanding of the process. Being that they’re the first two to show me interest, they’ll always have a special place for me and my family. That doesn’t have any impact on my decision at all.”

Jadyn Davis will be part of a big quarterback weekend

Davis, however, won’t be the only priority quarterback target in the 2024 class in Columbus this weekend. A pair of national prospects will be on campus as well, according to On3’s Jeremy Birmingham.

2023 quarterback target Dante Moore, a native of Michigan, is a possible visitor as well, though he hasn’t confirmed whether he’ll be able to make the trip or not.

Jadyn Davis told Birmingham earlier this week that he wasn’t sure if the visit would fit with his father’s work schedule. But the two will drive 7 1/2 hours from their home in South Carolina to be in The Horseshoe.
