TreVeyon Henderson shouts out Oklahoma softball ahead of game in Wrigley Field
TreVeyon Henderson and the rest of the Ohio State football team will be playing in a unique venue this weekend. The Buckeyes will face Northwestern at Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs, on Saturday.
Henderson was asked about playing at such a historic baseball stadium and revealed that he isn’t much of a baseball fan, but he does enjoy softball.
“I’m not going to lie, I honestly don’t watch baseball. I became a softball fan last year,” TreVeyon Henderson said. “I was watching the Oklahoma Sooners, and so, I love watching them play. They’re a great team and I love how they praise the Lord. But I’ve just been hearing a lot about Wrigley Field. So it’s definitely going to be a cool opportunity.”
Oklahoma has without a doubt the top softball program in the country. The Sooners have won four straight national championships.
As for TreVeyon Henderson and Ohio State, this is another opportunity to take a step towards reaching the College Football Playoff.
The Buckeyes enter Saturday’s game against Northwestern with an 8-1 (5-1) record, while the Wildcats are 4-5 (2-4).
Still, Ohio State can’t afford a letdown. Due to the fact that the game will be played in a baseball stadium, getting a feel for the stadium and environment is crucial. TreVeyon Henderson will be paying extra close attention during the Buckeyes walk through.

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
“I think it’s going to be very important, just get to experience all the hype that’s going on about it,” Henderson said of the walk through. “So getting to experience that early, I think it’s going to be very cool.”
TreVeyon Henderson has had an excellent season for Ohio State as he and fellow Buckeyes running back Quinshon Judkins have formed a dynamic 1-2 punch.
Henderson has rushed for 588 yards and five touchdowns so far this season while averaging 7.5 yards per carry. He also has 12 receptions for 86 yards.
The former five-star recruit will look to add to those numbers on Saturday when the Buckeyes take on Northwestern at Wrigley Field.
