The Ohio State football team released a hype video on Twitter for its upcoming matchup against Penn State on Saturday. The team will wear all-scarlet uniforms against the Nittany Lions and is encouraging fans to wear the same color.

Ohio State has been on a roll following a Week 2 loss to Oregon. The Buckeyes have put themselves squarely back in the College Football Playoff conversation thanks to several blowout wins. Since the loss to the Ducks, they have an average margin of victory of 41.6 points per game.

However, none of those opponents boast the same level of talent as No. 20 Penn State. Although the Nittany Lions have lost two straight, including a nine-overtime game against Illinois last week, Buckeyes coach Ryan Day called them the “biggest challenge of the year.”

Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford suffered an injury and left a Week 6 game against then-No. 2 Iowa. The Nittany Lions held a 17-3 lead before Clifford’s exit, but lost 23-20. The quarterback returned in Week 8 but finished just 19-of-34 for 165 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Fighting Illini.

Reports have indicated that Clifford is 100% healthy for Week 9, and if that’s the case the Buckeyes defense is in for a challenge.

Ohio State is allowing just 12.3 points per game over its past three games, all against Big Ten opponents. But what has been the difference is the mergence of quarterback CJ Stroud and the offense.

The first-year starter has been on a tear over the past three games, with at least four touchdowns in each contest. He has two of the top receivers in all of college football at his disposal in Chis Olave and Garrett Wilson. True freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson has also begun to break out, having recorded a touchdown in every game. He has three scores in each of the past two weeks.

It’s sure to be an electric atmosphere in Columbus, and the Ohio State hype video is just a preview of Saturday. Expect a close one as the Buckeyes continue their quest to make the College Football Playoff for the third straight year.
