WATCH: TreVeyon Henderson scores on first carry vs Rutgers
TreVeyon Henderson is becoming a household name. Following his 277 yard performance against 93 yard, two touchdown performance last weekend against Akron, Henderson found the end-zone on his first carry against Rutgers.
Nobody could even get a hand on Henderson. Untouched, he exploded through the hole — galloping his way to his seventh rushing touchdown of the season.
After a Rutgers’ fake punt turned the ball over to Ohio State, Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud found Jeremy Ruckert for a four-yard completion to begin the day. On the next play, Henderson put the Buckeyes on the board.
The Ohio State offense has been looking for a spark, and Henderson has provided one and more. If he continues to rip up opposing defenses, he could find his name continue to climb up Heisman rankings.

Additionally, Ohio State is 7-2-1 against the spread in their past ten games as a road favorite. Can they add to their impressive record against the Scarlet Knights?
Next, one trend that could cause trepidation is Rutgers’ ability to recover after a loss. In their last six games following, Schiano’s squad is 5-1 against the spread. Of course, Rutgers lost to Michigan last weekend.
Additionally, the Scarlet Knights thrive as underdogs. In their last ten games where they’ve entered as underdogs, Rutgers is 8-2 against the spread.
Finally, Ohio State could be motivated by the fact that Rutgers is perfect against the spread this season. The Scarlet Knights are one of only six teams who have covered in every game in 2021.
