4-star 2024 QB Michael Hawkins sets Oklahoma visit
Oklahoma already has its quarterback in the class of 2023 locked in, with five-star Denton (Texas) Guyer passer Jackson Arnold committed. Now, the focus turns to 2024, where the Sooners have their eyes on a number of signal-callers. Among the names on that list is Allen (Texas) rising junior Michael Hawkins.
OU is yet to extend him an offer, but they will host him on campus Wednesday for an unofficial visit, he tweeted Tuesday.
Hawkins is the No. 197 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the country’s No. 15 quarterback in the No. 32 player in the state of Texas.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is already up to more than a half-dozen offers, including Alabama, Michigan, SMU, Arkansas, and NC State. He has also drawn early interest from Oklahoma, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Michael Hawkins already visited Texas, Alabama and LSU last month, but will be making his first known trip as a recruit to Norman. The Sooners have extended offers to four other quarterbacks in the 2024 cycle, but don’t currently lead for any, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
