Oklahoma’s already impressive junior day visit list just got a whole lot more impressive. Tyler (Texas) Legacy four-star defensive lineman Jordan Renaud confirmed to On3’s Gerry Hamilton he will be in Norman this weekend for a visit.

Jordan Renaud is the nation’s No. 83 player, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the No. 12 defensive lineman and the 15th best player overall in the Lone Star State, according to the On3 Consensus.

Jordan Renaud currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9,700. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

OU in top group with Jordan Renaud

Hamilton believes the Sooners have a legitimate shot with Jordan Renaud.

“New Oklahoma co-defensive coordinator Jay Valai is really good friends with Legacy coach Joe Willis,” Hamilton said. “That friendship was a key factor in helping Alabama sign (four-star running back) Jamarion Miller last year when Valai was coaching with the Crimson Tide.”

About a month ago, Jordan Renaud announced a top eight of Michigan, Texas A&M, Texas, TCU, Florida State, Miami, Alabama and Oklahoma. The four-star originally hails from South Florida. Renaud is quite familiar with Miami and Florida State. He plans to return back to his home state for a few visits this offseason as well. He also reportedly took an unofficial visit in late January to TCU.

But first on his visit list this spring is Oklahoma.

Along with the relationship with Valai, Jordan Renaud said he’s fond of Sooners defensive line coach Todd Bates. Bates was heavily recruiting Renaud when he was at Clemson. That relationship has only helped the Sooners in this race. However, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists Texas A&M as the leader with a 62.4% chance of landing Jordan Renaud.
