Durham (N.C.) Southern four-star EDGE Jaybron Harvey just picked up an offer from Oklahoma earlier this month. But the Sooners have already made a big impact in his recruitment.

Harvey announced late Monday night that he will be on campus today in Norman for an official visit with the Sooners. The trip is his first ever to see the Sooners.

Harvey is the No. 210 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 26 EDGE and the No. 8 junior in the Tar Heel State.

He is ranked even higher in the 2023 On300 ranking, slotting in at No. 183. On3 is one of three companies to rank Jaybron Harvey inside the top 200 of their recruiting rankings, according to the Industry Comparison Tool.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Harvey currently has three more official visits scheduled: North Carolina (June 3), South Carolina (June 10) and Louisville (June 17). The Tar Heels hold a slight lead in the race to land him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction (RPM). It gives UNC a 35.6 percent chance of securing his commitment, with the other three aforementioned schools close behind.
