4-star QB Michael Hawkins sets Oklahoma visit

McKinney (Texas) Frisco Emerson four-star quarterback Michael Hawkins will visit Oklahoma this weekend, he announced on Friday.

Hawkins is the No. 239 overall prospect and No. 15 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 42 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound signal-caller announced his top eight schools on Dec. 4 and was originally set to announce a commitment on January 31. However, a little under two weeks before his decision date, Hawkins announced that he was postponing.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction MachineOklahoma has a commanding lead for Hawkins’ commitment at 91.9%. The Sooners have hosted him more than a half dozen times to date, more than any other program in the country.

He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $87K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
