Niceville (Fla.) safety Azareyeh Thomas looks like he enjoyed his weekend visit to the Sooner State.

The No. 143 overall recruit in the country posted photos Monday from his visit in Oklahoma‘s iconic uniform pairing of the Crimson jersey and white pants.

Azareyeh Thomas also included a fairly reflective caption: “One day I’ll wake up with my dreams in my face, doing everything they said I couldn’t.”

Chad Simmons says Oklahoma’s late push for Azareyeh Thomas is working

Azareyeh Thomas had previously stated his top three is FloridaGeorgia Tech, and LSU. But Oklahoma has edged its way into his consideration.

On3’s Chad Simmons reported Monday that Oklahoma is doing a very good job recruiting Thomas.

“With the three schools on his list struggling some this season and one now without a head coach, the window was there for the Sooners to jump in this race,” Simmons said. “And the word is, they have.”

It has been a great few days for Oklahoma on the recruiting trail

The last week-plus has been hectic for the 2021 Oklahoma football team with the tension around the Caleb WilliamsSpencer Rattler decision for Saturday’s game.

But on the recruiting trail, it has been nothing but smiles and high-fives over the past week.

It started when Lakeland (Fla.) High five-star defensive lineman Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy committed to the Sooners over Texas A&M last Tuesday.

Saturday’s dominant win led On3’s Jeremy Crabtree to name Oklahoma one of his biggest winners of Week 7. And it continued Monday when Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington four-star cornerback Gentry Williams followed suit and committed to Oklahoma.

Brownlow-Dindy is the No. 3 overall recruit in the On300 and Williams is the No. 34 overall recruit, and the top prospect in the state of Oklahoma.

The Sooners now have 10 commits in the On300. Azareyeh Thomas would make it 11.
