4-star WR Ivan Carreon commits to Oklahoma

Odessa (Texas) four-star wide receiver Ivan Carreon has committed to Oklahoma.
His decision comes less than 24 hours after he decommitted from Texas Tech. He had previously been committed to the Red Raiders since Dec. 1, 2022.
Carreon is the No. 217 overall prospect and No. 36 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 42 player in Texas.
Carrion is a strong addition to Oklahoma’s top-20 class
Flipping Carreon from Texas Tech marks another big recruiting win for head coach Brent Venables and his staff. The Lone Star State native received an offer from Oklahoma on June 3.
The Sooners’ 2024 recruiting class currently ranks No. 16 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 8 in the SEC. It contains 11 commitments, including three from wide receivers in Carreon, Missouri City (Texas) Hightower four-star Zion Kearney and Franklinton (La.) three-star Kelly Daniels.
