5-star OT Michael Fasusi sets Oklahoma official visit
Oklahoma is set to welcome one of the best offensive tackles in the 2025 cycle to Norman for an official visit this summer.
Lewisville (Texas) five-star OT Michael Fasusi is currently trending to the in-state Longhorns, but the Sooners have been right there in his recruitment. The 6-foot-4.5, 285-pounder announced on Saturday that he’s locked in an OV with OU for June 14-16.
He’s set to return next for an unofficial visit in April. Fasusi is also set to see Missouri, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas, Oregon and Colorado in the coming weeks. The Sooners are charging for Fasusi — who is building a solid relationship with OU offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh.
“Me and my family are tight with Coach B. We are on the phone a lot and he is always there for me. He is going to pick up when I call and he is always in contact with my family too. That is why we love him and the school so much. He is family,” Fasusi previously told On3 on the Sooners. “Oklahoma is definitely up at the top and I feel 100% good about them.”
It’s Texas that looks to have the edge heading into a busy spring, however. Earlier this week, Longhorns recruiting insider Eric Nahlin logged a pick on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) in favor of Fasusi committing to UT. He’s also locked in a June OV with the in-state school.
“(My relationship) with Texas is going great,” Fasusi told InsideTexas in January. “Coach (Kyle) Flood and Coach (Steve Sarkisian) are amazing. I stay in contact with everybody. That’s what I’m really loving about Texas and OU, it’s the communication. Coach Sark and coach Flood talk to me every week.”

Oklahoma Class Breakdown
The Sooners are off to a strong start this cycle, with 10 total commitments — five of whom rank as four-star prospects — and a No. 9 ranking in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Offense and in-state targets have been the focus early on in the 2025 cycle for OU, with six of their 10 commitments hailing from the Sooner State and seven expected to play on offensive at the next level. Co-offensive coordinator Seth Littrell has his quarterback with four-star Kevin Sperry out of the Oklahoma City area. His pledge has helped spur on one of the best receiver classes in the country, led by in-state four-stars Elijah Thomas and Jaden Nickens, along with Texas-based four-star Gracen Harris.
On the defensive side, the Sooners have three early commitments from linebacker Marcus James, EDGE Alexander Shieldnight and defensive lineman Ka’Mori Moore.
