SE Louisiana transfer TE Bauer Sharp commits to Oklahoma

Oklahoma has added a tight end out of the transfer portal. Bauer Sharp of Southeastern Louisiana has committed to the Sooners, he announced on Monday.

Sharp recorded 29 catches for 288 yards and three touchdowns this season as the Lions finished with a 3-8 record.

Bauer Sharp was named a third-team FCS All-American this past season. He announced last month that he was entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.

Now he is joining an Oklahoma program that is 10-2 on the year entering the Alamo Bowl against Arizona, which is scheduled for Dec. 28.

Sharp signed with SE Louisiana as a quarterback, before switching to tight end during the spring of 2022.

He caught 11 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown during his first season playing tight end for the Lions in 2022 and added 10 carries for 83 yards. He was even more productive this past season and now will look to take his game to another level as he joins the Oklahoma program.
