Class of 2024 ATH Andy Bass commits to Oklahoma
Class of 2024 athlete Andy Bass of Oklahoma City (OK) Heritage Hall High announced his commitment to Oklahoma Thursday morning.
The 5-foot-11, 200 pounder chose the Sooners over Syracuse and Kansas State.
“Why not choose Oklahoma? The fanbase, family, facilities, coaches, team, talent… the list never ends. The coaching staff is doing a great job of building a family aspect that you don’t see everywhere, and I’m super excited to be a part of that. Aside from all of the great things off the field, OU is going to be the team to beat in the next few years. I believe everything is just getting started.”
His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a key role in his decision as well.
“Coach Lebby and Coach Murray have been the best recruiters I could ask for. They’re super genuine and I can tell they are excited for me. I’ll be in the RB room most of the time, but I’ll be split out quite a bit as well to get me 1on1 with LBs and in space. Coach Lebby even mentioned playing QB inside the goal line. I believe my experience at QB my whole life will definitely give me an edge to understanding other positions I may not have played seriously before. Coach Lebby said he knows he will be able to put a lot on me and it will be up to me but I have a good chance to play pretty early which is my plan.”

The Sooner State athlete joins coach Brent Venables and the Sooners’ top 20 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star running back Taylor Tatum, four-star wide receiver Zion Kearney, and others.
He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
