Danny Stutsman reveals senior day jersey stolen following upset of Alabama
In the wild wake of Oklahoma‘s stunning upset of No. 7 Alabama on Saturday, a valuable item of linebacker Danny Stutsman went missing. And the veteran wants it back.
Stutsman reached out on Twitter on Sunday afternoon explaining what happened.
“Seems like my senior night jersey got taken from my locker after the game…” Danny Stutsman wrote. “If found please dm me, I kind of want that.”
That’s certainly an unfortunate turn of events, though not altogether surprising given the nature of the post-game celebration. Fans stormed the field not once, but twice, co-mingling with players, coaches and staffers alike.
And some undoubtedly were able to trickle into the locker room amid the festivities.
As for the field rushing itself, Oklahoma was fined $200,000 by the Southeastern Conference. The fine was doubled because fans stormed the field prior to the end of the game, then again at its actual conclusion.
The SEC’s policy is a $100,000 fine for first-time offenders. After a school’s second offense, the fine increases to $250,000. It then increases to $500,000 for the third offense and any ensuing breaches of the policy.

Danny Stutsman having a standout campaign
Jersey mishap aside, Danny Stutsman is having a season to remember for the Oklahoma Sooners.
With Saturday night’s game against Alabama he topped the 100-tackle mark on the season. He has logged 100 stops, 7.5 tackles for a loss, a sack and three quarterback hurries.
The 2023 third-team AP All-American is playing his way up NFL Draft boards.
Draft Network currently has Stutsman as a Day 3 pick, highlighting his strengths in coverage, athleticism and form tackling as key assets. However, Stutsman still needs some work against the run.
Concludes Draft Network on Danny Stutsman:
“Stutsman can find his way into a linebacker rotation with his coverage skills and athletic ability, but unless he develops as a run-stopper and improves his play strength, his upside as an impact three-down linebacker is capped.”
