Deion Burks announces return to Oklahoma with hilarious fakeout on Brent Venables
Oklahoma receiver Deion Burks had his season shortened due to an injury this year, but he flashed the same explosiveness many saw of him in the spring. The gifted wideout decided to announce his return to Norman on Saturday night, with a hilarious video that he made when he spoke with his head coach, Brent Venables. Burks wore a shirt and started talking like he was going to be leaving Oklahoma, but then he unzipped his jacket and had his jersey on underneath.
He let the coaches know he was coming back for another year.
Before going down with his injury, Burks hauled in 31 catches for 245 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Jackson Arnold has moved onto Auburn in the transfer portal. They had excellent chemistry that we saw in the spring of 2024. We’ll have to see if Burks can find that same chemistry with whoever the starting quarterback is for the Sooners moving forward.
