The EA Sports College Football 25 video game represents one of the most highly anticipated releases in history as EA Sports will put a modern twist on a classic game that hasn’t been made since NCAA Football 14.

The new game will feature several classic and iconic game modes and features along with some new additions. One being the importance and impact of homefield advantage, with some stadium environments making it tougher on opponents both in real life and now virtually on the game.

With that in mind, EA Sports released a ranking of the toughest places to play in college football, ranking that will be reflected in EA Sports College Football 25 gameplay. EA placed the home of the Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, at No. 8 in the rankings on Tuesday as a part of their Rankings Week rollout ahead of the game’s highly anticipated July 19 release.

EA College Football 25’s ranking of the toughest places to play factored in historical stats such as home winning percentage, home game attendance, active home winning streaks, team prestige, and more. And there’s no doubt that over the years there aren’t many places in the country that are as rich in tradition and are as tough to play as Memorial Stadium in Norman.

Affectionately known as the “Palace on the Prairie,” Memorial Stadium broke ground in 1922, seating 16,000 fans in Oklahoma’s debut 1923 season and now seating a capacity of 80,126 fans. Representing the 12th largest football stadium in the countrym the Sooners boast an impressive 53-10 record in the last decade and one of the highest home-winning percentages in college football history.

Gamers and college football fans will be able to take advantage of Oklahoma’s homefield advantage when they select the Sooners as their team in College Football 25. With visiting teams facing various degrees of disadvantages based on the stadium pulse that can impact players’ confidence, composure levels, on-field performance, and more.

College Football 25 also features a wide variety of different details specific to the stadium culture and school traditions of programs. With traditions like the white Boomer and Sooner ponies pulling the Sooner Schooner wagon across the field when Oklahoma scores expected to be seen in the game based on others seen for different programs in the official College Football 25 trailer.

Oklahoma’s long-standing history in Memorial Stadium has paid off for the Sooners on the field, and will now do the same virtually when College Football 25 officially released next month.
