Four-star wide receiver Anthony Evans of Converse (TX) Judson High announced his commitment to Oklahoma Friday afternoon.

The 5-foot-11, 160 pounder chose the Sooners over Texas A&M, Penn State, and Georgia.

Evans on why he chose Oklahoma

“Oklahoma is home for me,” Evans said. “I have built a relationship with all the coaching staff all around, it’s not just one coach that I can go to.  If I have a problem, I can go to anyone in that coaching staff.  The staff is just amazing and I fit great with their play style. I believe I will come in and kill in that offense just because I know how I am and they know how to use me. All you have to do is see what Jerry Lebby does, then you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.”

Relationships with coaching staff stood out to Anthony Evans

“My relationship with the staff is amazing,” Evans said. “I talk to them every day, and they make me feel like a priority. Especially with talking to me by calling me and my parents everyday, even with the situation with Gundy they still kept on top of everything. Oklahoma is for me. I’m close with everyone on that coaching staff. They make me feel like family, especially the one and ONLY ‘COACH VALAI MY GUY’.”
