Georgia Tech transfer offensive tackle Corey Robinson II sets portal visit to Oklahoma
The Oklahoma Sooners are on an absolute tear this offseason, landing a number of the most coveted coaches from the Washington State Cougars. Not only that, but they landed one of the top transfer portal quarterbacks in dynamic dual threat John Mateer. The Sooners will hope the trio can turn things around in Norman next fall. They continue to court portal prospects and one they’ll bring in tomorrow for a visit is Corey Robinson II from Georgia Tech.
The Yellow Jackets’ transfer offensive lineman announced on his Twitter page on Wednesday evening that he’ll be visiting the Sooners on Thursday. He started his career at Kansas before transferring to Georgia Tech.
Now, Robinson will look for his third college stop.
“Dear Georgia Tech, I want to thank you for the opportunity to pursue both my athletic and academic goals at this prestigious institution,” Robinson wrote. “These past three years have been a journey filled with challenges, growth, and unforgettable experiences. To my teammates, I’ll forever cherish the memories we’ve made together and the bonds we’ve built. The friendships I’ve formed here are the ones I’ll carry with me for a lifetime, and I appreciate your support in this decision.
“After thoughtful discussions with my family, I have decided to enter the transfer portal on December 9th as a graduate transfer for my final year of eligibility. I look forward to this next chapter of my life and what my future holds.”
