Oklahoma Five-Star Plus+ QB commit Jackson Arnold goes airborne for touchdown

Denton (Texas) Guyer trailed DeSoto (Texas) by two possessions in the fourth quarter. Oklahoma Five-Star Plus+ quarterback commit Jackson Arnold helped Guyer cut into that deficit.

From near the goal line, Arnold received the snap. He proceeded to leap into the air and get into the end zone, which cut DeSoto’s lead to 26-21.

Arnold is the No. 7 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Texas.

A 6-foot-1, 198 pound prospect, Arnold is the highest-rated recruit in the Sooners’ 2023 recruiting class. Oklahoma’s group currently ranks No. 7 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the Big 12. The class includes six top-100 prospects including Arnold, Kansas City (Mo.) North Kansas City five-star EDGE Adepoju Adebawore and Lee’s Summit (Mo.) Lee’s Summit North four-star offensive tackle Cayden Green. 

Arnold has an On3 NIL Valuation of $617K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Shows a strong arm with the ability to generate velocity on intermediate and downfield throws.
