Oklahoma 5-star QB commit Jackson Arnold now a Five-Star Plus+ recruit
Few prospects across the country have opened more eyes with their play this fall than five-star Denton (Texas) Guyer quarterback Jackson Arnold.
The 6-foot-1, 198-pounder has put together eye-popping stat line after eye-popping stat line while leading his high school squad to the brink of another state championship game in Texas’ highest football classification. His ascension on the field has been mirrored by one in the national recruiting rankings, with Arnold earning Five-Star Plus+ status on Tuesday.
The Oklahoma commit is now ranked by each of the four major recruiting services — On3, 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN — as a five-star recruit.
He joins an illustrious list in the 2023 class, which includes quarterbacks Arch Manning, Malachi Nelson and safety Caleb Downs, cornerback Cormani McClain, offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, defensive lineman David Hicks and wide receiver Zachariah Branch.
Arnold is the No. 6 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Texas.

Arnold has an On3 NIL Valuation of $614K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Jackson Arnold Scouting Summary
“Tough, live-armed quarterback who quickly rose to be the top 2023 signal caller in Texas in his first year as a starter. Plays for one of the top high school programs in the Dallas Metroplex and led his team to the state title game as a junior. Plays in a spread-iso offensive scheme that heavily utilizes play action downfield passes and power running between the tackles. Shows a strong arm with the ability to generate velocity on intermediate and downfield throws.
…A light-footed athlete who consistently escapes pressure and makes plays out of the pocket. One of the tougher top quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle, carrying a considerable rushing load. A physical runner who embraces contact. Hit the ground running in his first year as a varsity starter against top competition. Has a smaller frame than some other top quarterbacks in the cycle.”
