LOOK: 5-star DL David Hicks visiting Oklahoma

Katy (Texas) Paetow five-star defensive lineman David Hicks spent his Saturday across the Red River visiting Oklahoma.

Hicks posted photos from the visit later in the day, thanking the program for the visit and adding he enjoyed his time in Norman, Okla.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Hicks as the No. 5 overall recruit in the country.

He is the top recruit from the state of Texas and top defensive lineman prospect in the 2024 cycle.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $268k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Oklahoma is one of two favorites for Hicks along with Texas A&M. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Aggies ahead of the Sooners, 59.4% to 35.9%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
