Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, he announced via X on Saturday evening. After spending two seasons with the Sooners after transferring in from TCU, Guyton will be making the next step toward playing professional football.

“As I step into the NFL Draft, I am humbled by the collective support that has shaped my journey,” Guyton said in a statement. “I carry the lessons learned, and the memories shared. Here’s to the next chapter, fueled by the love and encouragement of God.”

Guyton played in 10 games this season for Oklahoma, being a key contributor along the offensive line. He played along the right side, which was the blind side of quarterback Dillon Gabriel. NFL scouts are going to love Guyton, especially if he tests well at the combine.

Back in early November, ESPN’s Matt Miller put together a list of his top 25 prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft. Guyton found himself on it, coming in at No. 15. Only two other offensive tackles were ranked ahead of him at the time.

There is still plenty of time in the process and Guyton could be somebody that explodes before everyone comes together in Detroit.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.

The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.

To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility. Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility.

Last season, 69 players were granted special eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft. 13 underclassmen who had completed their college degrees were also deemed eligible to be selected.

The deadline to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is on January 15. NFL teams will receive a full list of eligible players in the class on January 19.
