Oklahoma center Andrew Raym declares for 2024 NFL Draft
Oklahoma center Andrew Raym will enter the 2024 NFL Draft, he announced Saturday evening on Twitter. Raym spent the past four seasons with the Sooners, including as a starter each of the past three seasons.
Raym earned second team All-Big 12 honors in 2023 for the second time in his career. He also received All-Big 12 honorable mention recognition in 2022. Prior to this season, he had allowed just three sacks in 699 career snaps according to Pro Football Focus.
“To the Oklahoma coaching staff, thank you for giving me an opportunity to live out my childhood dreams, ” Raym wrote. “I will forever be grateful for the great relationships we’ve made throughout these four years. To coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh, thank you for everything these past couple of years. I am able to play the game I love with confidence because of the way you have taught me it.
“And to Sooner Nation, thank you! The best fans in the country! I will never forget the memories we made in the Palace. Game days were electric!! …That being said, I am excited to announced I will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.”
With Andrew Raym declaring for the NFL Draft, it’s still unclear whether he plans to play in the Sooners bowl game. No. 12 OU takes on No. 14 Arizona in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28 in San Antonio.

The 2024 NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan, with the first round on Thursday, April 25, the second and third rounds on Friday, April 26, and the fourth through seventh rounds on Saturday, April 27.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.
The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.
To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility. Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility.
Last season, 69 players were granted special eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft. 13 underclassmen who had completed their college degrees were also deemed eligible to be selected.
The deadline to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is on January 15. NFL teams will receive a full list of eligible players in the class on January 19.
