Oklahoma co-DC Jay Valai visits Cincinnati 4-star commit Daeh McCullough
Oklahoma co-defensive coordinator Jay Valai made an in-home visit to see South Bend (Ind.) St Joseph’s four-star safety and Cincinnati commit Daeh McCullough on Monday.
With former Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell now at Wisconsin, other schools have taken aim at the talented recruit.
McCullough is the No. 328 overall prospect and No. 29 safety in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

There are only three Indiana prospects ranked ahead of him in the cycle: Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean four-star linebacker Drayk Bowen, Indianapolis Lawrence Central four-star EDGE Joshua Mickens and Indianapolis Cathedral four-star defensive lineman Kendrick Gilbert.
McCullough has an On3 NIL Valuation of $100k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
