Report: Oklahoma, Porter Moser hiring Doc Sadler as a Special Advisor
College basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported Thursday that Oklahoma head basketball coach Porter Moser will be adding Doc Sadler to his staff as a special advisor.
Sadler is an Arkansas native who worked his way up the college basketball coaching rankings for 22 years before landing his first Division I head coaching job with UTEP in 2004, leading the Miners to a conference championship and victory in his very first season.
He made stops at Nebraska and Southern Miss following a two-year run at UTEP, posting a 20-13 record in his final season at Southern Miss before resigning in 2019. Sadler rejoined the Nebraska coaching staff as an assistant under Fred Hoiberg, and now joins a Sooner staff with over 10 years of college head coaching experience as he looks to help Moser in his second season at the helm for Oklahoma.
