Oklahoma's Luke Northweather enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

Oklahoma has lost a pair of big men already to open the cycle of the NCAA Transfer Portal on Monday. Luke Northweather has his name among those two entries, On3 has learned.
Northweather spent the past three seasons with the Sooners as a redshirt sophomore in Norman. He redshirted as a freshman before appearing in 55 games as a reserve the last two years at OU.
In total, Northweather has averaged 2.4 points (41.9% FG, 31.3% 3PT) and 1.4 rebounds. That includes some slight improvement this season with his statistics up to 2.7 points (42.9% FG, 34% 3PT) and 1.5 rebounds in just over 11 minutes per game.
Northweather is a native of Jefferson City, Missouri. He played high school basketball there at Blair Oaks.
Again, Northweather was one of two entries into the portal today for Oklahoma after the end of their season on Friday in the NCAA Tournament. Yaya Keita, who played in eleven games this season and thirteen total the last two years, also entered his name in around the same exact time this afternoon.
Northweather had been developing as part of the program at OU. Now, he’ll be continuing his career elsewhere with his entry into the portal today.

Keita enters name into the NCAA Transfer Portal
Oklahoma’s Yaya Keita has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Keita spent three seasons with the Sooners but redshirted as a true sophomore. He began his career at Missouri where he spent one season with the Tigers.
Yaya Keita played high school basketball at DeSmet (MO), where he was an unranked prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Keita is originally from Koutiala, Mali.
Keita saw the bulk of his collegiate time on the court at Mizzou before spending the last few seasons at OU. Now, Keita is searching for a new program again for his final year of eligibility.
