Oklahoma QB commit Kevin Sperry invited to Elite 11 Finals
In back-to-back-back years, Oklahoma had landed an Elite 11 Finalist — first Jackson Arnold in the 2023 class, Michael Hawkins in 2024 and now Kevin Sperry in 2025.
On Sunday, Sperry received his invitation to the prestigious event after competing in the Elite 11 Regionals in Austin. He was joined by Texas four-star quarterback commit K.J. Lacey and SMU pledge Keelon Russell.
There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the Elite 11 Finals. The event, which will celebrate its 25th year in 2024, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles.
Elite 11 alumni include Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Tim Tebow, and more recently Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including each of the top five players at the position.
Sperry following in Jackson Arnold’s footsteps
Sperry played his junior season at Midwest City (Okla.) but announced earlier this week he will play his final season of high school football at powerhouse Denton (Texas) Guyer. Ironically, that’s the same program Arnold starred at before signing with the Sooners as part of the 2023 class.

Sperry helped lead Midwest City go a perfect 14-0 and win an Oklahoma 5A championship, marking the program’s 18th title. He completed 131 of 191 passes (68.6%) for 2,564 yards with 31 touchdowns and four interceptions. On the ground, he totaled 563 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 6.1 YPC.
Earlier this spring, On3 Director of Rankings and Scouting Charles Power broke down Sperry as a prospect:
“Sperry is one of the more mechanically sound passers in the cycle. He showed on-field improvement after transferring to Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert for his junior season, leading the team to a state title.”
He joins the aforementioned Russell and Lacey, as well as uncommitted four-star Husan Longstreet as Elite 11 invitees.
