Fresh off a 47-32 Alamo Bowl victory over the Oregon Ducks, Oklahoma offensive lineman Tyrese Robinson has officially announced he will declare for the 2022 NFL Draft, he wrote on his Twitter page on Friday afternoon.
He wrote: “First I would like to thank God for letting me follow my heart and leading me to this amazing university. These past five years have been some of the best memories of my life,” Robinson wrote.
“To the coaching staff, I would like to thank you for pushing me to reach my full potential on and off the field every day. It was more than football, that I’ve learned here. Y’all pushed me to be a better version of myself and how to be a man,” he wrote.
“To my teammates, I’m truly blessed to have the teammates I had for the past 5 years. Y’all are a big part of my success and I will cherish all of the moments we went through thick and thin. I’m glad to call y’all brothers for life,” Robinson wrote.
“To my family and siblings that have supported throughout the way, I want to say thank you. Thank you for making the sacrifices you made to make sure I can accomplish my dreams. You are what keeps me going every day. I love y’all,” he wrote.
“Lastly, I want to thank the OU fan base. It’s been amazing getting to play for y’all and this team. I appreciate the continuous love and support y’all gave me throughout my career here,” he noted.
“With that being said, I would like to announce that I am declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft. This has been a lifetime goal of mine since I was little. Sincerely, Tyrese Robinson.”

Robinson accolades for 2021 season
Tyrese Robinson was named a second team All-Big 12 selection by the league’s coaches for the 2021 season. He started all 12 games at right tackle this season for the Sooners. In 2020, Robinson started all 11 games at right guard, allowing just two sacks on 400 pass plays.
With the declaration, Robinson becomes the ninth Sooner player to declare for the 2022 NFL Draft, joining: Nik Bonitto, Perrion Winfrey, Brian Asamoah, Isaiah Thomas, Jeremiah Hall, Gabe Brkic, Kennedy Brooks & Marquis Hayes.
Robinson is fresh off an impressive bowl performance in which the Sooner offensive line cleared the way for Kennedy Brooks, who ran for 142 rushing yards and three touchdowns against Oregon.
It looks like newly anointed Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables better get busy in finding new players for the 2022 season.
