Oklahoma trending for 4-star safety Omarion Robinson as commitment nears

In a little less than a week, Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview Magnet four-star safety Omarion Robinson will come off the board to one of five schools.
Robinson narrowed his recruitment down to five schools in late March: Oregon, Arkansas, LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia. He visited the Sooners, Razorbacks, Ducks and Tigers in June.
And while the Ducks made a strong impression on his trip to Eugene, it’s the Sooners who hold a commanding advantage in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). That follows an expert pick from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons on Sunday.
“After his Oregon OV, there was a lot of buzz around the Ducks, but I have checked with numerous sources a week later, and things has started to shift back toward the Sooners,” Simmons wrote. “He does not announce until July 6, so there is still a few more days to go, but OU is trending.”
Earlier this spring, SoonerScoop.com insider Josh McCuistion logged a pick as well and broke down OU’s pursuit of him.

“This is a guy that Oklahoma identified pretty early as a guy they really liked,” McCuistion said during On3’s Inside Scoop recruiting show. “Now with the commitment of Marcus Wimberly and the ongoing pursuit of Jonah Williams, I think some have wondered, ‘How is Oklahoma going to make that work?’ My understanding is that if Oklahoma needs to take three safeties, they’ll take three safeties. They like Omarion Robinson a lot.”
As a junior last season, Robinson had 42 tackles, 10 pass breakups, two picks and two fumble recoveries as a junior. On offense, he had 16 catches for 465 yards and three touchdowns, and 15 carries for 119 yards and three touchdowns.
On special teams, he had 15 kickoff returns for 569 yards (37.9 yards per return) and four touchdowns.
Robinson is the nation’s No. 299 overall prospect, No.28 safety and No. 2 recruit from Arkansas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
