Oklahoma receiver Nic Anderson plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report by On3’s Pete Nakos.

Anderson has not played during the 2024 season but had a monster 2023 campaign when fully healthy. He is currently a redshirt sophomore with the program.

As a second-year player in 2023, Anderson recorded 31 catches for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged a whopping 21.0 yards per reception, proving to be a remarkably explosive threat.

Those credentials will surely earn him some legitimate interest in the transfer portal.

Prior to enrolling at Oklahoma, Anderson was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 200 overall recruit in the nation in the 2022 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 34 receiver in the class and the No. 33 overall player from the state of Texas, hailing from Katy (TX) Katy.

QB Jackson Arnold to enter transfer portal

Nic Anderson wasn’t the only offensive player from Oklahoma making plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold, a former Five-Star Plus+ prospect, plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal per ESPN’s Max Olson.

After appearing in seven games as a backup with one start as a freshman in 2023, Arnold entered the 2024 season as the Sooners’ starter but was benched amidst a shaky start that saw just seven touchdowns and three interceptions through 3 1/2 games.

Arnold played high school football at Denton (Texas) Guyer, where he was one of the top recruits in the nation. The 6-foot-0.5, 200-pounder was the No. 8 overall prospect, No. 4 QB and No. 2 player in Texas in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
