Oklahoma WR Jaquaize Pettaway plans to enter transfer portal, per report
Oklahoma WR Jaquaize Pettaway plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Pettaway shared those intentions to enter his name in with ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Sunday.
“Oklahoma sophomore wide receiver Jaquaize Pettaway tells ESPN that he intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal,” Thamel tweeted this evening.
Upon his commitment to his next program, Pettaway will still have two years of college eligibility remaining.
Pettaway has spent the past two seasons at OU. In double-digit games an underclassmen with the Sooners, Pettaway has caught 16 passes for 157 yards. That includes five catches for 87 yards this fall as a sophomore. He had a career-best of nine receptions in his first college game against Arkansas State while having his career-high in yardage with 79 yards from three receptions in this season’s game against Tennessee.

Pettaway, a native of Houston, Texas, played high school football at Langham Creek. He was the No. 87 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2023 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as the No. 17 WR and player out of Texas respectively in the class.
