Oklahoma has now lost four of its last six games after a disappointing 72-56 defeat to Oklahoma State. The Sooner’s resume already wasn’t in a good place for the NCAA Tournament and, as they now sit at 11-7 overall and seventh in the Big 12 at 2-4, it isn’t in any better of a spot after last night’s loss in Stillwater.

With that said, Sooner head coach Porter Moser wants his team to relax from what he said during his postgame press conference. While their schedule may not have much stock to it yet, he says there are a lot of opportunities left for them to continue to make their case for a spot in March Madness.

“I know it’s going to be the things that everyone talks about, but there’s a lot of games. Every games gonna be (a chance for) a resume win. And we understand that,” said Moser. “That’s what I told our guys. The only thing we have to do is go back, put our heads in the pillow, wake up tomorrow, and you’ve got 48 hours to prepare for Baylor.”

The three losses for the Sooners before dropping Wednesday night’s game to the Cowboys were all respectable. They each were to Top-25 teams in Texas, Iowa State, and Kansas, two of those being Top-5 teams. All three also all came by a combined eight points. Oklahoma was close, but just not close enough to get the job done.

Still, close isn’t close enough when it comes to the bracket. That’s why Moser is preaching patience when it comes to his team. He believes in their ability to get back on track for the postseason because of their play. With 10 games left against the AP Poll, including this weekend against the Bears, Moser is counting on the road that’s still laid out in front of them too.

“There’s still so many games left. So I’m not gonna get into this after every single game talking about the urgency of resume wins,” Moser said. “We’re disappointed that we lost. There’s no question. We’ve gotta bounce back.”
