Report: Oklahoma transfer guard Duke Miles has decommitted from Virgina

Former Oklahoma transfer guard Duke Miles has reportedly decommitted from Virginia, according to The Athletic‘s Tobias Bass. Miles originally committed to the Cavaliers on Monday, April 7.
Miles averaged 9.4 points per game and shot a team-leading 43% from three-point range in 2024-25 while helping lead the Sooners to the NCAA Tournament in their first season apart of the SEC. Miles previously started his career at High Point and Troy, and is now back on the open market.
Virginia is undergoing a bit of a transition this offseason following the recent hiring of new head coach Ryan Odom. The Cavaliers underwent a surprise coaching change just before the 2024-25 season got underway when longtime coach Tony Bennett announced his retirement. Veteran assistant Ron Sanchez served as Virginia’s interim head coach, leading the Cavaliers to a 15-17 overall record and an 8-12 mark in ACC play.
After the season, UVA announced Sanchez would not return as the full-time head coach and the school opted to bring in Odom from VCU. The Rams won the Atlantic 10 Conference regular season and tournament to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they fell to Wisconsin in the first round.
