According to Eli Lederman of the Tulsa World, Oklahoma has suspended tight end Daniel Parker regarding a domestic violence issue. A 21-year-old victim has alleged multiple things against her boyfriend, who court documents “identify” as Parker.

“News: Oklahoma tight end Daniel Parker has been suspended indefinitely, a team spokesperson confirmed,” Lederman said. “Court documents identify Parker as the boyfriend of a 21-YO victim alleging domestic abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and stalking.”

Court documents state there were multiple incidents between Parker and his girlfriend, going back to early October. The “last” incident occurred on Nov. 13, just a day after Oklahoma fell to West Virginia on the road.

“A Nov. 13 police report refers to the petitioner as a victim and lists offenses of one count of domestic abuse (simple assault) and one count of assault/battery with a deadly weapon.”

Parker is in his first season with the Oklahoma program, transferring in from Missouri. He has made nine appearances under head coach Brent Venables this season, making four receptions for 28 yards. In Saturday’s home win against Oklahoma State, Parker did not play.

Now, Parker will miss Saturday’s regular-season finale against Texas Tech and possibly the Sooners’ bowl game. He is also a fifth-year senior and in his final year of eligibility.
